Animethon 17 Chair Decided

Through a vote of ASAPA (Alberta Society for Asian Popular Arts) Vlad Pohnert has been made chair of Animethon 17. Vlad is a former president of ASAPA and has previously been the Director of Site and Programming for past Animethons.

Pohnert is best known to the community for his work with AMVs (Anime Music Video), having won a score of AMV competitions and running the AMV contests of Animethon, Anime Evolution, Otafest, Sakura Con, and other events.
