Anime Evolution is running a Mascot Contest. Here is the information from their website.
Overview
The purpose of this contest is to obtain mascot designs for Anime Evolution 2011. The winning entries will be featured in AE’s 2011 convention guide, and may be used in promotional material or merchandise at the convention’s discretion. Winning artists will receive prizes (listed below) including two Guest Passes to AE 2011, along with all bragging rights. All submissions that meet qualification criteria will be displayed in the Art Gallery at the 2010 convention for viewing and attendee voting.
For the AE 2011 Mascot Contest, there will be two winners: the People’s Choice, and the Executives’ Choice. The People’s Choice will be decided by a vote open to all AE 2010 attendees. Entries will be located at the Art Gallery along with ballots and an entry box. The Executives’ Choice will be decided by the AE 2011 Executive Committee, after The People’s choice vote has taken place.
The winner of the attendee’s choice will be announced at the 2010 convention closing ceremonies. Cut off time for voting will be 12:00 noon on the last day of the convention. The winning artist does not have to be in attendance.
Prizes
Each winner of the mascot contest will receive the following:
- Two Guest Passes (allowing preferred seating) for Anime Evolution 2011
- An Artist’s table
- $50 Gift Certificate redeemable for Anime Evolution merchandise
* Anime Evolution reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value.
Deadline is Monday, July 26th, 2010 Anime Alberta Fans.
