Once again the Kurimoto Garden’s Spring Festival is upon us, hosted at the University of Alberta’s Devonian Gardens.

This year Kita no Taiko, Alberta’s premier Taiko Drumming Group,  is celebrating it’s 20th Anniversary with a special performance.They will be collaborating with Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos, a shakuhachi and shinobue (both common types of Japanese flutes) player from Vancouver. Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos has studied Japanese music extensively in Japan and is one of the few non-Japanese to have received his Dai-Shihan (Grand Master) shakuhachi license.

Alcivin Ryuzen Ramos will be doing his own performance as well.
